This beautiful and highly educational books gives you insights into a few of the more recent eruptions in Iceland, using both scientific facts and information about the eruptions alongside masterful photography. Eruptions covered in this book is the infamous Eyjafjallajökull eruption and the ones leading up to it along with the Westman Islands eruption in the seventies among others.
Highly recommended for lovers of photography and geology all the same.

Very efficient postal system.The book is beautifully photographed (haven't yet studied the text in detail) although the atmosphere is set by rather dark under exposed environmental shots, which is a little disappointing.(I don't remember it being quite so gloomy beneath the cloud of Eyjafjallajokull). Nevertheless,very good overall.
