Iceland is an island of sheep more than it is an island of humans really. The Icelandic breed of sheep are thought to have arrived on the very first viking ships that came here from Norway and naturally they look different and they have a wilder temperament than the sheep from the continents.
It says alot about Icelanders love for their sheep that they have a name for every possible coloration of sheep that has ever existed and this poster lists all these in Icelandic and English.
