If you are like a lot of Icelanders, you are a liquorish purist. Meaning you despise any attempts at mixing liquorish with marzipan, chocolate, pepper, caramel...You just want your liquorish straight up! Svarti Galdur means Black Magic by the way...

Ingredients: Sugar, flour, liquorice root, salt, salmiac salt, colours (E150c, E153), stabilizer (E420), lactic acid, flavours, aniseed oil. Contains liquorice – people suffering from hypertension should avoid excessive consumption. Could contain traces of hazelnuts and almonds. Store in a cool, dry place.
