‘Hraun’ means ‘Lava,’ and this bar is shaped as though a chocolate-spouting volcano erupted over a wafer-field of puffed rice and maize starch (That’s probably how it’s advertised, anyway). The texture is rough, and bits and pieces of puffed rice pop out like a bits of a lava field.
Sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, flour, milk powder, rice (rice, sugar, salt, malted barley), hydrogenated vegetable fat (coconut- and palm kernel oil), palm kernel oil, starch, leavening agents (E500, E503), emulsifiers (E322 from soy), rapeseed oil, vanillin.
Could contain traces of hazelnuts, almonds and coconuts.
It's a good candy bar, but nothing special as it tastes like lots of other ones. The name is cool, the candy is average.
Hey, it's literally lava! But happy you still liked it!
Everything was delicious!
Glad to hear it. Please enjoy. And remember, we are always open if you want more.
Prompt delivery of this oh-so-yummy (ljúffengt!) chocolate bar that is a must-have whenever we visit. Kind of like a KitKat or Time Out rolled in chocolate crispies. Go for it - you won't regret it!
Glad to hear the delivery was prompt. Hraun is truly one of the candy staples of Icelanders. Glad to hear you enjoy it.
