Icelandic Sheep Poster
If you ever drove around the Icelandic countryside in the summer chances are you saw sheep. Maybe you even had to stop your car while they walked over the road and gave you a glare of discontent.
Iceland is an island of sheep more than it is an island of humans really. The Icelandic breed of sheep are thought to have arrived on the very first viking ships that came here from Norway and naturally they look different and they have a wilder temperament than the sheep from the continents.
It says alot about Icelanders love for their sheep that they have a name for every possible coloration of sheep that has ever existed and this poster lists all these in Icelandic and English.
The big one is very big or 86,8 cm x 60,9 cm! The small one is A3 sized...
Absolutely awesome. I loved getting the newpaper included. We searched for the poster the entire time we were in Iceland and could never find the sheep poster. So, thank you.
