Take a bite from one and you’ll swim in the delectable, creaminess of chocolate followed by the strong notes of black liquorice. One of the most common candies in Iceland and an undeniably addictive pairing.
"Bombur" or "Bombs" is something every kid is Iceland knows. If you were a kid in the 90's you remember when the Bombs entered the Icelandic candy scene and a few years later the liquorice version. The world was just never the same after.
Describing candy can be tricky though, but here is an attempt: These are the size of an average big toe and comprise of a liquorice-y, sticky, marshmallow-y substance with caramelle-y consistency, covered in thick, dark layer of chocolate... Addictive!
